Look beyond the format label
Two providers can both say blended while offering very different attendance and support. Request every compulsory session, what happens there, which work is self-directed and where assessment takes place.
What remote study can cover
Anatomy, physiology, contraindications and professional practice can be studied through reading, video and tutor-supported activities. Online theory access does not by itself establish competence to treat clients.
Hands-on practice develops pressure judgement, positioning, draping, safe body mechanics and communication. Ask how a tutor observes these skills and gives feedback before assessment.

The Active IQ Level 3 Sports Massage Diploma is assessed partly through observation and questioning of your practical work. Whatever the format, ask how often a tutor will watch your technique, correct it and see you repeat it before that assessment.

Consider travel, work, caring responsibilities, access needs and how much structure you need. Flexibility is only useful when the learning and assessment expectations remain clear.
How SSTA delivers Level 3
SSTA teaches Level 3 Sports Massage face to face in Chichester, in groups of up to 10, so tutors can observe and correct technique. The fee is £1,997.99, payable in full or by a £197.99 deposit followed by instalments. Ask admissions for the teaching timetable and the independent study expected between sessions before you enrol.
