At a glance

  • A format label is less useful than the actual timetable.
  • Hands-on skills require a clear practice, observation and feedback plan.
  • Online theory can still carry deadlines and tutor expectations.
  • SSTA’s current delivery split is not publicly confirmed.

Look beyond the format label

Two providers can both say blended while offering very different attendance and support. Request every compulsory session, what happens there, which work is self-directed and where assessment takes place.

Match delivery to how you learn

Consider travel, work, caring responsibilities, access needs and how much structure you need. Flexibility is only useful when the learning and assessment expectations remain clear.

SSTA delivery status

The current split between face-to-face, online and independent learning is not publicly confirmed. Older descriptions must not be used as the current format.
