East Sussex
Sports massage and personal trainer courses across East Sussex
How far is Chichester from your end of the county?
- Brighton
- Direct Southern trains, about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Eastbourne
- No direct train. Journey planners route you via Brighton, about 1 hour 45 minutes in total.
- Hastings
- No direct train. Via Brighton it takes a little over two hours; by car about 1 hour 25 minutes.
The western edge of the county can realistically reach a 9am start in Chichester. The eastern half cannot do that comfortably for a run of practical days.
Where an East Sussex group would sit
Because the journeys differ so much, registrations are recorded by town. If enough people around Eastbourne, Hastings or Bexhill sign up, a venue in that part of the county makes more sense than asking everyone to travel west.
Brighton, Hove and Lewes learners can choose: travel to Chichester, or wait to see whether a Brighton group forms. The Brighton & Hove page lists early weekend trains.
Courses you can start from East Sussex
Level 3 Personal Trainer
Studied online, so Hastings is no further away than anywhere else. You need a suitable Level 2 first and attend in person for assessment.
Fee: £999, course only
Level 2 Gym Instructor
The gym instructor course is online and subject to current enrolment confirmation. The fee is not yet published; admissions confirms it before you enrol.
Level 3 Sports Massage
Hands-on, so it is taught in person: in Chichester. You can register interest from East Sussex without a confirmed local group, venue or place.
Asked from Lewes to Rye
Is Lewes closer to a Brighton group or the Chichester one?
Lewes is next to Brighton, so a Brighton group would be the shorter trip. Until one forms, the Chichester course means changing trains in Brighton.
Can I train from Hastings without travelling every weekend?
Yes, with the online personal trainer route. Sports massage needs in-person practical sessions, so from Hastings the realistic option is an East Sussex group.
